We, at Turing Holdings Sdn. Bhd. and group companies, value and respect your privacy and personal data. To this end, this Personal Data Protection Policy sets out the manner in which we manage personal and confidential information collected by us either directly from you or indirectly from any third parties appointed by us, websites or public sources
In collecting and handling your personal data, we are bound by the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and such other laws applicable privacy regulations. By providing us with your Personal Data, you are taken to have read and agreed to our collection, use, processing, disclosure and handling of your personal data in accordance with this policy.
“Personal Data” means any information or material which relates to you and/or your company and which has been provided by you to us which is marked as “Confidential” / “Proprietary” / “Restricted” and which is not generally known outside of the parties or otherwise not available to the general public at the time of the disclosure which include but not limited to the client and customer data, lists, banking account information, technical specifications, your business plans, models and trade secrets. This policy applies to all the personal data collected, processed, and stored by us in the course of our business activities. It covers data collected from our employees, customers, payment platforms, and any other individuals with whom the Company interacts.
The Personal Data provided to us may be used or disclosed by us to third party which may include but not limited to the following third parties (in or outside of Malaysia):
(a) electronic payment systems or the payment platforms,
(b) banks and financial institutions, credit reporting agencies or financial regulatory agencies;
(c) government departments or agencies, public authorities, statutory or regulatory bodies or law enforcement agencies;
(d) any professional advisors, lawyers, consultants, accountants, company secretaries, service providers, auditors or officers;
(e) any third party appointed by us is to provide services to us or on our behalf; and
(f) any person or entity to whom we are compelled or required to do so under law.
We shall only collect and process the personal data that is necessary for the purpose for which it is collected, unless the individual / entity has given explicit consent for another purpose or as required by law. The purpose for which we may collect, use, disclose, process and handle your Personal Data is including but not limited to the following:
(a) to provide you with services or information requested;
(b) to contact, communicate, respond to you;
(c) to comply with legal and contractual obligations;
(d) to render the professional services for which we are engaged;
(e) to comply with any statutory obligation; and
(f) to comply with our administrative and accounting purposes.
We shall implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Access to personal data will be restricted to authorized personnel only. In the event of any personal data breach, the Company will promptly assess the risk and take appropriate measures to mitigate the impact of the breach. Where required by law, the relevant authorities and affected individuals will be notified.
Personal data will be retained for only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. We shall establish and adhere to data retention policies to ensure that personal data is not kept longer than necessary.
The personal data will be collected and processed transparently and lawfully and individuals will be informed about the purpose of the data collection. In the event if you would like to access to, correct, rectify or restrict the extent of our handling of your Personal Data held by us or any third party appointed by us, you may at any time hereafter inform us in writing.
We reserve the sole discretion and right to modify and review this Notice at any time without prior notice to you.
